About Profit by Packaging
Profit by Packaging is run by Dr. Piyush Singhal, CEO of Jagannath Polymers, and published by Jagannath Polymers, a packaging manufacturer in Jaipur, India. The company was founded in 1995 and exports to 20+ countries.
What we cover
Packaging economics in plain numbers. Every article ends in a calculation a buyer can repeat with their own figures: total cost per order, not price per roll.
- Cost per order versus price per unit
- Transit damage and the real cost of returns
- Courier volumetric weight and right-sizing cartons
- Packaging specification reviews for purchase teams
- Rules that change packaging costs (EPR, plastic rules)
Who it is for
Purchase heads and business owners.
Why I write it
I sit with buyers every week. Many of them are paying for packaging in places they never look: extra microns, oversized boxes, damaged returns. I would rather show the arithmetic in public than repeat it in every meeting.
How the guides are written
Every guide is written by Piyush, from what we see on our own plant and with our customers. Technical and legal facts are checked against the official source and linked in the text. We do not publish prices, because they change. We never invent test results, numbers or customer stories. Where the answer depends on your product, we say so and suggest a test.
